Fire Eating & Breathing

The Freaks Flourish Stick is completely different to every other metal fire eater stick because there is no exposed metal tube. We have utilised space age technology to keep the neck of the fire eater as cool as possible when touched (e.g. with lips / tongue etc.). Our ‘CoolTouch’ sleeve will withstand naked flames and very high temperatures without ill effect, it is also impervious to fuels (so it won’t act like a wick by soaking up fuel which would otherwise cause problems when fire eating). It also has incredible thermal insulation properties which we have utilised by extending the ‘CoolTouch’ sleeve right under the wick as well as on the neck - this means that the aluminium tube stays surprisingly cool even at the wick end and therefore prevents hot metal burns. And for a finishing touch there is a silicone fuel seal inside the aluminium tube.

The Freaks Flourish Stick has been built using some very advanced materials, including our new ‘CoolTouch’ sleeve technology. The Flourish Stick is constructed around a rugged aluminium tube with lathe turned knurled ends. At one end a tough smooth plastic swinging knob is thermally fixed (with a pull off force in excess of 40kg).

The body of the Freaks Flourish Stick is fully enclosed with our new seamless grip. This is flame retardant and is also a thermal insulator which helps prevent the aluminium tube from getting hot - and therefore allows the Flourish Stick to be handled along most of the entire length of the stick (for ‘Twiddling’). The grip has a lovely ‘feel’ - it’s not slippery and it’s not too grippy either, there are no bumps or ridges, as usually found with wrapped grips, so there’s nothing to interfere with your manipulation. These are a delight to use and the grip is much easier to clean too!

The Dexterity Flourish Stick has been built using some very advanced materials, including our new ‘CoolTouch’ sleeve technology. The Flourish Stick is constructed around a rugged aluminium tube with lathe turned knurled ends. This version of the Flourish stick has Kevlar at both ends to make it twice as dangerous. 

The body of the Freaks Dexterity Stick is fully enclosed with a new, seamless grip. This is flame retardant and is also a thermal insulator which helps prevent the aluminium tube from getting hot - and therefore allows the Dexterity Stick to be handled along most of the entire length of the stick (for ‘Twiddling’). Should you be crazy enough to want to perform fire breathing the Spitfire stick is a wise investment. Made using a branded aluminium shaft with comfortable, heat resistant EVA handle the Spitfire stick is a reliable prop. The generous wick and exposed metal work mean that this is not an appropriate prop for fire swallowing or body branding. This prop should only be made available to adults - fire arts, particularly fire breathing, is exceptionally dangerous and a potentially lethal practice. Should you want to practice this discipline you should first undertake extensive safety training.

Especially designed with body burning and fire eating in mind. This stick is made from a foil wrapped wooden shaft which doesn't heat up like metal equivalents. The aramid fibre head is attached with staples sunk below the surface of the wick, rather than screws. This means you are much less likely burn your mouth or body with the stick and there is no chance of branding your self with exposed metal.

The 50mm wick is free of any copper mesh and is 100% aramid fibre.

Please note that we do not encourage fire eating or body burning - it is a potentially lethal performance art and should only be practised by responsible, adult performers with the appropriate training and safety knowledge. This stick should only be sold to people over the age of 18.

Juggle Dream present their Fire Spitting stick. Crafted using polished aluminium and mounted with a comfortable 16cm EVA handle for additional safety, this prop will be appreciated by experienced fire performers. The head is wrapped with 50mm aramid fibre - ideal for short burn times with the appropriate fuel. The wick has been attached using screws so is easily replaceable.
